These things don't normally work like that. imo there is, and plenty see that there is value well above 40.

Looks to me like a buyers strike, a few sitting in a thin queue, but not may eager to jump in and buy while it is falling, just watching it drop to a lower level adamant they can catch the bottom.

Some sellers on the other hand getting anxious/desperate. Maybe T+3, tight margin positions elsewhere, traders with nfi taking whatever profit they can salvage or general market anxiety.

Assuming this the turnaround should be sharp.
