Hello Brocko, the stochastic is a measurement of the closing price with respect to its range (high-low). The preceding days action the close was at the high of the range resulting in the stochastic strengthening. The time frame selected dictates how quickly the oscillator gets to its "overbought/sold" range and today's action ended in the middle of the range. Stochastic is very useful in a trading range but requires some thought when the share trends. Hope that helps.
