Hey everyone,
When my wife and myself built our home we put our trust in a mortgage broker to find us the greatest home loan deal.
Now as I reflect back on that decision, I ask myself why I intrusted someone other than myself to make that decision for me. I ultimately think it was mainly because we are so busy, and I thought it would be better if we used an "expert". However, after having discussions with colleagues and doing a little research myself, I am not so sure that employing a mortgage broker was the wisest of decisions.
So I am here to ask what people think is a reasonable interest rate offer and what inclusions like offset etc are mandatory when deciding on a home loan.
Our current home loan rate is 4% with an offset account and redraw capability. Plus a $10 a month account keeping fee.
Note - Obviously talking about personal money issues is a private thing for most, so I totally understand if this post gets no responses.
Thanks.
