    tangrams thanks for the help, yes we need to climb hills and rough ttacks just to get back to camp let alone a vet or hospital could be a long drive, we sometime carry an epirb so we would need to deciede to wait for the lift out could be days or risk riding back with the limb bandaged ? also we have boots so that would cover the below the knee. Funny thing yesterday we had a dopped out Big Roo run into a stopped bike rider...could have been bitten or maybe it was blind, now that was freeky this Roo would have been 5ft easy.
