Smart Parking and IOTA

Dan here again writing from the states. I just want to say that I think the integration between Blockchain (and Blockchain like technologies such IOTA’s tangle) and Smart Cities* (including smart parking) is upon us just like the eve of the internet in 1993 pre-Google, pre-Facebook, pre-Apple, pre-MSFT (obviously MSFT and AAPL were around during that time, but they weren't the behemoths they are today)...

What I want to disseminate to most of you who are probably not invested a whole lot mentally or physically in the crypto space is this idea of integrating the newest nascent form of decentralized tech. Hear me out here, b/c I know most of you have many presuppositions and have already made your mind up and the mere mention of cryptocurrency (which is a misnomer in most cases) or Bitcoin sends your blood pressure through the roof. However, with all new forms of challengers to the status quo regardless if it’s in tech or other fields, there is always intransigent orthodoxy that prevents the real-world use cases from being heard. IOTA is one such technology which already has partnerships with Volkswagen, BOSCH, Fujitsu, and Microsoft (albeit likely on a small scale with MSFT) to name a few.

The partnerships with Fujitsu, VOLK, and BOSCH are more pertinent b/c they are *actively* engaging IOTA and its framework and are trying to implement it in their vision of how technology will work in the future. In the future, you will no longer have to rely on centralized data centers that store your equivalent of a Social Security number and every single personal detail you can imagine that is likely floating around in multiple countries from hacking groups waiting to sell it on the dark web. This is just 1 use case of its inherent technology. IOTA however, has much bigger plans. Connecting the Internet of Things which is estimated to be a 100 Billion with a B connected devices by the year 2025. All of these devices hold immense value when you include the network effect and metcalfe’s law. Your phone is already a device that can record humidity, temperature, shock, elevation, location, and a host of other data. When there are 100 billion devices in the world, those devices have the ability to speak to each other without our input and we can seamlessly begin automating many fields such as parking and the ability for autonomous cars to find an END-destination via smart parking aps that have already installed sensors in the ground. This can then be protected by cryptographic security so you, your car, and your personal information can never be hacked by less than ethical state-foreign entities.

At any rate, everyone here, I strongly recommend you to watch this video on IOTA and its recent acquisition of a key senior level employee from Fujitsu, Rolf Werner, who just joined IOTA’s foundation. This speaks volumes of the direction IOTA will be one day and the sooner we investors put pressure on the management team to look into this form of tech and adopt ,the sooner we dominate the smart parking space and the faster we are implemented in entire smart city programs as a bolt-on app since we’d be using the native currency that the IOTA framework runs on, MIOTA.
