Screen Shot 2018-04-14 at 11.36.55 am.png I run a spreadsheet to track APT's reported numbers from their releases, thought I would share it with members here.

It shows the continued growth, but also some stepback in growth (av. cust spend, quarterly merchant sales and customers added per day) for the first time in Q3.

In regard to lower av. cust spend, there was a similar step down between Q2 and Q3 at the start of 2017. As I've learnt from reading posts here (which also seems logical), there is a christmas hangover effect on retail sales as people pay down their balances.

Customers added per day is still higher than the June and September 2017 updates, it's just lower than, again, the christmas period. At the current growth trajectory (~3,000) we'll see well over 2 million customers in June.

The instore growth is huge, and I believe is an important way APT can change its demographic mix - the announcement regarding BCF, Supercheap and Rebel Sport is evidence of this (not fashion / not female centric). They did announce further POS integrations and I expect the instore numbers to be much higher in June.

We should know quarterly revenue for Q3 when they release the quarterly 4C later in April.

Note, my annualised sales chart is an estimate, and my method for calculating it is a tad inaccurate (doesn't factor in seasonality). APT themselves put the number at 2.4 billion.

If anyone has any feedback, would love to hear it.
