    The world of the 1800's including GB was a lot more ignorant/racist than now, plus modern tech means people in relatively open societies can get info on whats happening on the other side of the world from many viewpoints

    On your example, you may as well judge the morals of today's Mongolians based on the actions of Genghis Khan
