From the FAQ's page of the Company website the following answers are provided for these two questions;


Do you import honey?

"All Capilano-branded honey sold in Australia and internationally is 100% pure Australian honey. Other brands, may contain imported honey from accredited suppliers that have been through Australia’s rigorous testing standards... Every batch of honey imported by the company is comprehensively tested and undergoes rigorous quality assurance testing to ensure it meets the same quality standards as honey produced in Australia. In addition to these tests, Capilano undertakes further quality testing to ensure the honey is 100% pure honey and not adulterated with foreign sugars".


Does your honey contain corn syrup and sugar?

"Our honey does not contain corn syrup or any other added sugar syrups. Capilano Honey has been committed to maintaining the highest quality standards for the past 60 years and we employ global best practices through all stages of the supply chain. Our honey undergoes rigorous quality assurance testing, and must meet stringent quality testing standards set in place by the Australian Quarantine and Inspective Service (AQIS) and Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ). All honeys have a specific flavour profile and any adulterated honey would be identified in our stringent testing protocols".


Imo, the highly sensitive and litigious nature of this Company should've already set off alarm bells for some stakeholders here. and in my experience wrt Australian defamation law in particular even a half arsed threat of litigation immediately raises red flags because this law only operates to inhibit free speech. What real purpose does it serve any company to proceed with a frivolous law suit to seek gag orders and bully a couple of 'little' guys unless it thought there was something to hide?

While one can ponder that thought a response from management in regards to the following would be quite interesting,,,
