the assays are not representative of the true gold content.
MCO assays have historically undervalued true gold content from 2 fold to 5 fold - depending on what level in the mine is being assessed.
the bigger a bulk sample the truer the REAL gold content is established. the nuggety nature of the gold means that the bigger the sample the higher the gold grade because it is less hit & miss - with the nuggets.
historic production records have always proved that more gold was in actual fact in the material mined than was indicated by assays prior to mining.
