Guys after wrecking equipment and possibly the drill rig trying to get through the fault and hole instability I think they decided to stop get it fixed and give it a crack for another 3 days before moving to well #4 and having a go there... did anyone else read it that way?
Worst case scenario would be to try at #2 too long and chew up the money and have damaged equipment that needs repairing again?
There's no way they were 3 days away from the bottom of this hole.
