WOW Guys, Thanks.  I am feeling very confident I am on the right track, and am now happy I put my marbles on the table.

I'll add a couple of points and hope the conversation continues.

1. @oilskin - this is not the time for 'source theories', much as I love 'em (and I paid HH $160 for his meteor thesis, and pleased I did) No, mate this is the time for boots on the ground and gold in the pan.

2. @Wack - In a linear system the optimum outcome is always on a system boundary.  For an investor one system boundary is the funds he has available, and if he spreads his funds over a number of variables he reduces his maximum return. Having said that, it is a tough call to put the lot on one ticker.

3. Takeovers will loom large if CW and 47k etc, etc give us the bulk sample results we expect.  I say 'we expect' because of QH's  ongoing comments, and the posts of the guys who walk the ground and share.  How do we handle that - is an investment of (say) 10k in a small cap that got away better than 10k in (say) Novo who got gobbled for 2 billion?  That's 4 bag from here!

4. So we agree its Novo, Deg and ARV who are the front runners.
Is Novo too expensive for an entry now?
Does DEG have a defence against a hostile take over?
Has DL figured it out at last and can he produce more shareholder value as he says he can? And what about Mt OscarWits, a wildcard in my opinion?
Then there is CZR,  majority held by Mark Creasy, so he decides its fate.

All this, just sayin, and hoping for more input from all.
