The testing referred to in the announcement will be integration testing. ResApp intend the diagnostic tool to integrate (hopefully) seamlessly into the medical administration system: data and results stored for retrieval at will, results directed to relevant medical team whether or not that's the same team that collects the data.

If data for additional training is obtained this will be a bonus, but it would require the pilot to be specifically designed to provide it. The data is only useful for training if an independent gold-standard diagnosis is available for each case.

Integration testing is a critical step in commercialisation.

The fact that a hospital is prepared to undertake this test at their own cost before we have results for any of the current trials seems to me like a pretty strong vote of confidence in the product.
