A skyrocketing price is not wanted! Potentially very bad for SKI and more so for AUZ. It will speed up the search and investment in alternate battery tech and will make EV's uncompetitive with ICE's - thereby delaying the uptake.
The car manufacturers are already very concerned about this and are putting heaps of pressure on the battery makers to control prices.
