I really only know what MFS has made public too BB.
Assuming Friday was no more than extremely bad timing then it appears you should double your money, if not earlier at least by the time they announce their 2008 results.
Stocks being pummeled like MFS (or CNP for that matter) can have a self-fulfilling negative effect. The whole "beauty" of the stockmarket is that is provides a liquid place to raise capital. It becomes almost impossible for a stock that has been treated as harshly as MFS (or CNP) to access the capital which at the end of the day is the whole point of the market.
SO, we have to hope that MFS was being 100% accurate when stating that they have no short-term requirement to raise funds if the company stays in its current format.
