Could go a lot lower just going by the Dow futures.
Everything's getting cruched at the moment, and hard to see any news from US that's going to slow their fall. I'm not sure even a 1% interest rate reduction is going to help them much. I think it's just got to run it's course, and that means bringing all the losses to the surface so everybody knows exactly what they've got to deal with.
Despite what a lot of people want to think, we are connected in many ways, to the US.
Long term SMY will still be solid IMO. China's growth will slow, but they'll still be powering, and they'll need Aussie metals.
