I have been a market participant - a very happy one - for almost two-and-a-half decades, without once feeling defrauded or cheated or that my financial position was being somehow manipulated.
If anything, my sense - without being able to unequivocally prove it - is that I have been a beneficiary of the existence of short-sellers, on the occasions that it is them that have been selling down stocks to valuation levels that I deemed it attractive to buy those stocks.
"I don't know who all of them are but I know exactly the impact."
