I may be proven wrong, miningnut, but I get the impression that the quality of the Tui oil is very highly regarded.
There may have been a bit of early hesistancy by the refineries to set a comparable Tapis rate but the comments from the JV seem to indicate that it getting a rate up there with the Tapis price.
I think you will find that if there is any difference it will be in the order of a few cents a barrel and not dollars.
Maybe - if we were very lucky - it might even be regarded as a higher quality than Tapis. Now there's a thought.
