Dear Kate,
Don't let it bother you, some people are unable to refrain from being malicious, it's just in their nature. Just take the high moral ground and don't lower your own good standards. Our excellent moderator is doing a good job of trying to sort this out and I'm sure he'll be onto it pretty quickly.
