It’s unusual that the company advised the price fell by 15% during the qtr from $74 to $63.
When trying to justify the realised price received between the two quarters, it is an irrelevant comment to make.
The correct comment is what the average benchmark price was across the two quarters as this is a key variable in explaining revenue movements between the two quarters. From a profit and loss perspective, the end date is irrelevant when calculating revenue.
Therefore their comment is completely misleading. The correct comment would be avg price rose from x to x but the discount increased from x to x and the aud strengthened from x to x etc
