Question for you miners out there.

How intense is the competition out there for new resourse finds?

For example if I'm walking the paddocks and trip over a giant lump of copper or whatever the flavor of the day is, then I drill all over the property and announce the findings on the asx as well as various industry publications as extremely positive, will other companies both big and small immediately start crunching numbers in order to try and benefit?

Or is it a slow process of things just happening whenever just because?

I ask because I noticed the company plans for exploration in FY19. You just never know what you might find.
