If you read the enviro rpt that has been submitted, it clearly states that as of mid august the seismic testing cannot take place. Damn whales!

2.2 Timing
The project is expected to take place over approximately six weeks between May and July 2018. This timeframe includes all activities: mobilisation, layout activities, data acquisition and demobilisation. Exact timing is contingent on fair sea state conditions suitable for marine seismic acquisition. Seismic operations will be limited to daylight hours. Westranch has selected a survey ‘window of opportunity’ that it believes balances operational requirements with environmental and socio-economic considerations. This includes:
• timing of the project is planned to avoid the southerly migration period in the Perth Basin (midAugust to October) for the humpback whale
• sea state conditions optimal for the survey occur from May to September inclusive. Outside of this, sea state conditions are generally too rough for seismic acquisition
• while the Leatherback Turtle has not been recorded nesting in Western Australia, avoiding the breeding season for the Leatherback Turtle between December and January with hatchling emergence February to March
• the seismic activities will only be conducted during daylight hours to avoid the potential impact of artificial light on the ecosystem • avoiding the recreational rock lobster fishing season.
