I think there is great potential for Tassal for expanding into seaweed and sea urchin as well.
They mentioned that they are doing testing in the Sustainability Report 2017 released back in March 2018. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get more information from the Company as to the nature of the testing, or the progress being made.
But a local shopkeeper of Chinese heritage got very excited when I told her about the seaweed experiment. Apparently, the Chinese go crazy over any foodstuffs from Tasmania.
