If think whoever tried the con got it badly wrong, I would say they were hoping investors would believe there was a drilling blow out (or similar) phoned in from workers on the rig before an official announcement - trying the ole quick run for the hills game.
But the vast majority of investors know we are a few weeks away from drilling into the pressurized section therefore there can not be any news to turn the share price.
