Cann Group CEO didn't explicit say Cann group is against recreational cannabis. He mentioned that it's not in their area of focus and this was in context that the legislation of recreation use could be 5 to 10 years away (his views)

And in that context; spending $$ for product development and marketing would be considered a waste.

Additionally if looking at aurora operations; they are already going for the retail side (ie: the recreational side) and likely if Australia legislation changes; Cann group will most likely be asked to assist in supplying into the retail market of Australia as they are major shareholder.

If demand in Canada outweighs the supply; no doubt aurora will ask cann group to supply raw materials (which strictly speaking - cann group isn't in the recreational space).

I think Cann group will be taken over. Canopy Growth has already registered their trademarks for recreational use in Australia and Aurora isn't about to let the recreational space be taken over.
