But at the end of the day everyone needs coal. So if coal needs to be used why not have it as clean as possible, that is until progress can catch up. The political viewpoint is this, it would be political suicide not to go along with cleaner coal, not go against it as there is nothing that can replace it at a more effective cost. In addition it depends on where you stand on CC, because at the end of the day when you come home at night you still need to turn on the lights.
