I suspect Mr Kerviel will come out of this with a somewhat enhanced reputation. The guy who broke the bank etc. A bit like Ned Kelly maybe. It will be he who caused the banks around the world to tighten up on their procedures. How on earth could a major bank allow such a loss to occur! We'll see.
