Now I am not a great student of this company anymore after proceedings simply disgusted me last year however in my ignorance and other more pressing matters I failed to sell down as was my intention and consequently caught out after the SoA failed but back in black now.
This could be fairly land but thought to put it out there anyway and would appreciate thoughts regards my pondering a scenario where the debt problem could actually turn in Ctp's favor by virtue of successful Santos exploration next year. If Santos find a multi tcf discovery as appears a good chance then 30% of that will be worth megabucks. It also ensures future supply and the possibility of a pipeline from Alice to Moomba as well as an expansion of the Negi project by adding compression. There would be others such as LNG etc etc.
This could leave Maquarie sitting there with only mereenie gas flowing at a set volume per day into Negi (after work over)
I imagine Maquarie will eventually have a supply problem that they have no control over and no opportunity to expand their share in the business.
Perhaps a deal to settle the $70m could then be arranged in Ctp's favour???
