am i alone in thinking that RFG franchises are kinda becoming outdated in the australian market?
i can't quite see a demand for donut king or a michele's patisserie etc moving forward in major australian city centres with so many franchises from Asia moving into the market and taking over. for example if you spend time in the Sydney CBD you will see Asian bakery's all over the place but you won't remember seeing brumbys or donut king etc.
after travelling a fair bit around australia recently, i noticed many of these franchises were more present in outer areas or in smaller cities/towns where there is less choice. they have a consistent presence in these places.
as a 30 something year old, i scan through the list of RFG franchises and i haven't been to any of them in the last 10 years with the exception of a rare crust pizza (which is meh). am i part of an emerging consumer base that want's to go to Bread Top instead of donut king? or am i just one irrelevant dude.
please don't accuse me of down ramping... I have been following RFG for months and am waiting on a entry point, as i believe the external growth opportunities look good to me and the price is right... i am just concerned about the domestic market... and am looking forward to hearing others thoughts on this.
