Hmm 20 plus companies running the ruler on Driftwood. Sounds bit like us talking to people for 10X our tolling capacity. Still, they sound very confident of a deal. Lets hope we dont get left behind and we are talking to serious and committed potential buyers.
Equity stakes being offered at $1,500 a tonne. At this price we should be seriously thinking about selling down some of the equity in our project and then partnering with an upstream gas producer to deliver the gas at cost to the equity provider. It also reduces a lot of the bank financing required for the Maggy project so you could think about offering a more diverse balance of 10,15 and 20 year tolling terms as well as giving potential customers confidence that the deal will go ahead.
Seems a bit to me that heat in the US LNG project is returning and that buyers are now fully aware of the potential LNG supply crunch with oil booming and geopoltical issues in the Middle East meaning diversity of supply into US gas looks more attractive.
