1) Each tesla vehicle uses ~63kg of lithium.
2) The USGS 2018 report gives global reserves of 53mt
3) number of cars on planet = 2b

There you have some #very# basic metrics. Do the back of paper envelope calculations. Realise that there won't be an EV for everyone in the utopian green-communist society. Homes wont be battery powered with lithium.

Vanadium has similar shortages.

My guess is that the world's most intelligent societies will power their cities with solar/wind and vanadium. The most intelligent cities are located in East Asia. The most stupid will continue with coal (or wood) and those in the middle will, for a short time, use lithium before returning to coal.
