If AMP stays below $4 a share, as it is very likely to do, it may attract a foreign bidder. Before the Hayne inquiry the stock had a sum of the parts value of $5.50 to $6 a share. The companies such as Nippon Life (owner of MLC), China Life (an AMP partner), AIA, Prudential and others have shown strong interest in Australia's financial services market.
