jims favourite quote...
consider this:
1. mineral deposits dont grow on trees.
2. discoveries of deposits get smaller and smaller
3. deposits that are being found are in more remote locations.. sovereign risk.. costs..
4. head grades are dropping
5. population is increasing
6. third world countries are industrialising
7. chinese wage is just at the point they can afford motorcycles, cars, airconditioners, whitegoods.
8. india, brazil, russia etc shortly behind
i saw a site the other day that listed critical minerals.. and how much supply we have left before we are O U T. ie that's it.
indium used in laptop screens has like 11 years supply left
we have nowhere near enough platinum to convert all petrol cars to hybrid or electricity
etc.
the saudis are fudging how much oil they really have left.. as if they told the truth many groups would move in to secure the last drops..
at least we can make some money on the way out.
