Yes you are right andrewds PLS is higher now than when I posted that. But my post was never about PLS because I didn't and still don't know anything about that stock. What it was about is what I have learned in many years moderating this site in regards to archetypal tribal behaviour of humans who own shares. A few years have passed since I wrote that post and what I have witnesses since then has only consolidated my view. HC is meant to be about balanced debate and our rules are very clear in regards to attacking other posters. But everyone thinks it is ok for them because they feel they are a special case and the posters they are attacking are somehow different to the normal posters that we shouldn't attack. So from the moment my feet hit the floor at about 6 am I start continually writing comments like "Please don't attack other posters" or "name calling is not permitted on HC". It goes all day long and while I am watching The Voice at 8pm I'm still writing the same comments on my ipad.
The funny thing is though that for every PLS there are nineteen other stocks that spike then ultimately fail. The irony is that for every one contrarian poster there are nineteen fans of the stock doing a tribal war dance every time the contrarian appears. So we have 19 out of 20 posters believing in what happens 1 times out of 20 times with a stock and 1 poster out of 20 preaching what happens 19 out of 20 times. That is hardly what we could call balanced and yet the blinded bulls won't even allow even that one equalizing voice to speak of the possible pitfalls.
But Basileus is right....for the most part punters (me included) need to learn the hard way before they either give up on the market labeling it as a scam or they learn to listen to the pros and cons of every potential investment. I double triple quadruple stress that this has nothing to do with QBL as such as I know as much about this stock as I did/do about PLS. But I thought this may have been a good opportunity to educate about how we would like the forum to run regarding balanced debate. I'll lock this thread now as we don't want to get into long winded debate on matters that are not purely related to QBL.
