My rough sums, using the first half year expenses other than marketing, get an npat of about 167 to 173m, and midpoint eps of about 23.2c NZ, or about 21.3c Aussie. $-traders had consensus at 29.3c NZ, so that is down 21% for the full year, and HY even worse.
This is quite a surprise to spring on the market. And at a time of CEO change, and with some players probably hoarding stock to sell to MSCI index fundies too. This will be a nasty day for longs I suspect unfortunately.
