sorry wbtd, but really you show a total ignorance of common sense. first of all, as far as value is concerend - on dec 31, gda had a market cap of approx $5m, one week later it was $35m - and there was NOTHING to justify the increase. you can scream till you are blue in the face, but there was NOTHING to justify the increase

the book that watso threw out - watso probably bought it about thirty years ago, because he was involved in some claims, and it was a good source of information. for your information, it was a state government publication, and watso probably bought it from the mines department, or the government bookseller, and indeed, it is possible that it is still available. in a clean up, watso tossed out a lot of stuff that was taking up space - and not having looked at the book for ages, then watso recalls looking at it for a few seconds, and tossed it out.

seeing that st barbara mines probably still holds the tenements, that contain the flying pig etc, then it is possible that somewhere, in the st barbara mines, they may have mentioned the oz produced from the operations on their tenements - and maybe if someone has time, they could look it up, - it would simply be a matter of going through all the reports.

as far as the Robert Champion de CrespignyRobert Champion de Crespigny, guy is concerned, watso did provide a reference, but it is not watso's fault, that you are not aware of him. and here is a reference, that watso was going to include, but because it was so long, he omitted it

anyway, have a look at the "legend" and the blue dots are "mineral occurunces"

and getting back to quantum differences - watso suggests that wtbd, gets a calculator out, and calculates the gross value of 5m tonnes of 1.75% copper, which is 87,000 tonnes of contained metal, and compare that to the resources that gda have at the golden virgin (which seems to be the biggest deposit that the company can refer to - and that seems to be in the order of 10,000 oz of gold, which has an in the ground value of AU$10m - and wbtd, watso will let you get the calculator out, to work out the in the ground value of the copper at lady annie - and maybe you might start to work out what a "quantum difference" is. keep in mind that buka minerals also had 25% of the lady loretta mine

Robert Champion de Crespigny, and his associates put in $6m of their own money, , to get control of buka resources, which had the undeveloped lady annie deposit, which in the end, ended up with copperco - this was all done in a matter of a year or so, and was no doubt part of a strategic plan by the people involved

watso may have limited knowledge, but it is far more extensive than some people who seem to have an empty space space between their ears

perhaps wtbd, that when you have calculated what a "quantum difference is" you may wish to post the figures, to at least show other posters that you are capable of using a calculator
