It looks like X.Gusmao's AMP party has won an absolute majority, 34 of the 65 seats up for grabs. Given that Gusmao
was the chief negotiator in the recent Maritime Boundary Treaty with AUS, it bodes well for an early ratification of the Treaty once the parliament commences sitting.
