Alternatively, BPT gets included at the rebalance on the third Friday in September. Given continued progress up market capitalisation rankings, index fund managers would need to ensure they have enough BPT shares to avoid a September shortfall. I expect this will put upward pressure on daily turnover and share price on the way to September.
