I have made a few calculations here and get reasonable figures, but nowhere near those being bandied about. Probably I have misunderstood something - would be most happy to be corrected
Assumption I have used:
ore processed pa 5 million tonnes
recovery rate 6.5%
expenses $280 per tonne
price received $1000 per tonne (perhaps a bit high, but maybe not)
profit 5 million x 6.5% x (1000-280) = $234 million
After tax of 30% $164 million
Number of shares 1.75 billion
Income per share 9.36 cents
P/E ratio of 10 Share price = 93.6 cents
P/E of 15 Share price = 140.4 cents
On a 2 million tonne production the Share Prices are 37.4 cents and 56.2 cents
I suspect something is very wrong and would be happy to have someone point it out.
