You obviously either werent around during the 70s or have a poor understanding/lack of education of this period.
1. Focus on China - the Whitlam governement opened up Australia to China, established diplomatic ties and coomenced trade relations. Kevin is very keen on China if you hant noticed.
2. Dodgy loans - this was the Loans Affair, attempts to borrow large amounts of money from Middle Eastern governments due to world liquidity issues at the time (you may have noticed but we are in a similar position in relation to liquidity now).
3. Inflation hit 17% in the mid 19070s (where you got 4% from is beyond me).
As for "Why don't you just come out and say what you mean. You think Labor will screw up big time and everything that happens bad in teh next 3 years is their fault."
It wont make an once of difference, because when people are hurting they will blame and take it out at the ballot box - they did just that 1975.
