Short positions assist in keeping the stock lower than it would without the shot positions .
Another way of keeping a stock low is to continually lambast the board and management.
One person who has done this is actually the biggest shareholder.
BWX also had large short positions , and today they blow up , the question to ask is how many of these shorts are one and the same and used as a strategy to prepare for a bid.
