actually, he's apparently been slapped on the wrist in the past for doing what you suggest. The ASX is for official news and progress reporting only, not self promotion or general information (even though some other companies seem to get away with using it that way).
There was nothing "new" in the information in that reply, only facts already known and his personal opinion (the latter of which is inappropriate for ASX announcements)
