lacking anything better, may I suggest the topic, market manipulation, for the weekend.

As I recently read on the threads, if I had a dollar for everytime I've heard 'the stock is being manipulated,' every time it's share price goes down, I wouldn't need to trade.

I've just been reminded by this in an essay in the Financial Times, 'Team Trump's "deep state" Paranoia Fans Conspiracy Theories.'

'The “deep state” controversy may be phoney. But it is still significant. For it reveals the extent to which paranoid fantasy has now entered the mainstream of American political discourse — fanned by the president himself.'

Similiar or not?

I'd love to hear to views of some of the more experienced in ways in which this manipualtion really works.
