Has anyone got an investment thesis on Helloworld?
As the travelling industry is seeing a huge rotation of funds into it with CTD, FLT and WEB all at or near all time highs, HLO doesn’t seem to be attracting any attention?
Flight centre has price to earnings of 23, Corporate travel and Webjet in the low 30’s and Helloworld has a lowly 17. I understand the other 3 have a better and more sustained track record of growing earnings but Helloworld is experiencing some rapid growth also and is priced a lot more attractivly to the others. Has higher TTV and revenue numbers and a similar level of EBITDA to Webjet yet has a market cap 900 million less? Has to be some middle ground there.
In terms of management, HLO has a great CEO who with his partner who is also a manager has a huge chunk of the company. Proven CEO who started the business at 26. Whether it’s relevant or not I’m unsure but he has ties with the prime minister and others such as Joe Hockey (who has a decent holding in the company).
Now it’s very thinly traded and has been consolidating for a considerate time, what am I missing here?
