It's a well-established fact that forums such as those on hotcopper are used by "rampers" in order to manipulate the unwary into pushing up the price of stocks with a low market cap, very few shares, and a low price, which are easily moved.
I draw your attention to an article in Resource Stocks,Feb 2008,which discusses this issue, and refers to Hotcopper specifically.
A quote from paragraph 4 "A quick visit to these sites reveal they can actually create buying support and move share prices, especially among the so-called penny dreadfuls, with very small market capitalisations and prices below 10 cents a share". Further in article "many new investors took comments on the discussion sites at face value, but often the comments originated from someone pushing their own interests... the objective of every ramper is to create buying support and a share price increase just long enough to allow a profitable sale of shares they already own. In one of the most famous examples, an 18 year old from the suburbs of Melbourne was prosecuted for trying to pose as the MD of Coles Myer and ramp the share price by posting false information about upcoming financial results. Most share ramping attempts are not so outlandish, but the case highlighted the potential for abuse."
I did not accuse you of ramping. I did question your motives in posting some of the statements you made, which I considered to be a fair enough point to make considering the fact that you claim to be a director of one of the companies involved in the discussion on this forum, and in particular due to the fact that the company is involved in making on market purchases of the shares of Mindax, which fits into the category mentioned above as being a vulnerable target for those who might try to push up the share price in their own interest.
I apologised in advance for any unintended offence you might take if you are indeed who you represent yourself to be. However, a REASONABLE person should be able to understand that, under the circumstances there are good reasons to question your authenticity, and to question your motivations in posting as you have at a sensitive time in the activities of the two companies involved.
As we all appear on these forums not as a person, but only a disembodied voice, it is very difficult to judge a person's true motivations in posting any information which influences share prices. Some of us are more easily taken advantage of than others, and interjecting a note of caution into any discussion is often viewed by many as an unwelcome addition to the discussion, as we all prefer to hear what we want to hear (good news that will make profits for us). The intention of my posts was to interject that cautionary note, as I interpreted your posts as being intended to interject a very optimistic note from someone whom many on this site seem to believe has an "inside" view on influences affecting the share price of the companies discussed.
If that has been interpreted by you as an offensive and "vitriolic" attack on your personal integrity, you are mistaken. If your motivations are indeed altruistic, I again apologise for any offence taken.
