2ic the ARK principle was based on mid y2005 expectations of GORM timing concurrent with oxides start-up as ORIGINALLY scheduled .......end 2006 and certainly no later than mid 2007 !!! The theory remained true and the warchest cash levels always high BUT the mortal implementation was shiiite beyond belief as my belief in others was off-mark.
My continued "love affair" as u say is based on the premise how much more can be stuffed up here ! But being a conservative man as u would know, I am in no hurry to replenish trading positions here yet, until I like everyone else sees physical confirmation of ability to produce anything. However my macro backdrop expectations still place this as one of VERY FEW stox I am prepared to hold atm within my 35% "invested" portion of my current portfolio based sheer size of unhedged resources considerations alone and my concern the stability of the global financial position itself is now at risk.
Whether or not my reasoning remains on the ball, it has provided security for me thus far, even if by default. But yeah if not for my personal commitment to this "love-child", I would now be sitting at 80% cash instead of 65%. Nevertheless I am in a better overall position now than in November 1987 and ensuing experiences since make me confident and strong in the belief the coming paper-burn-fuelled golden superbull wave to rally the broader indices from whatever megabear C lows I EXPECT sometime in the next two years, will indeed provide a once in a 3-generational opportunity for the survivors of Ursa Majoris.
ALL my GORM rules for survive and thrive ongoing are personal drivers but yeah, could have been a bit "colder' in my implementation thus far. One thing I do expect though, just as we see overshoots to upside (last 2 years' blow-off in the broader indices), we will see as aggressive overshoots on the downside before some kinda stability returns within the all time uptrend channels. IMO the harsh realities of the global economy have not yet BEGUN to be realised and we will need to be nimble to avoid the mines ahead.
