Building upon your post here, I think we also have to consider the possibility that all the products to date (let's call it phase 1 of the P&G roll out plan) have been purely groundwork/testing for market research, consumer education & feedback and to test the waters with OBJ & manufacturers that the relationships/communications are healthy and manufacturing demands are consistently met etc..
All of which are laying the groundwork to nail "phase 2" of the P&G roll out plan without any mistakes or hiccups. Phase 2 is what we would call the secret Personalization project/device which has always been shrouded in mystery but appears to be shaping up as the main event in the OBJ / P&G relationship.
But how can we truly know until it is launched & received by consumers, there's too much mystery/secrecy around phase 2 that it's difficult to make an educated guess / qualified statement about it.
