Just to throw an idea up for your intetvening period..... and in short..... Maybe AVB BOD looked into all the angles of financing, with Banks (which i doubt would even be possible), and the G's etc and other possible angles and ended up thinkng OZL and its 17c was best way forward? AVB Mkt Cap was only $200 mil and just for development like in it's non-definitive scoping study was well over half the mkt cap, places like Glencore etc, would screw them as much as possible after all everyones a SH to maximise and those in the market always look at Bank Balances. The reailty to my mind was AVB was in position of weakness so maybe the right choice was and is OZL's 17c and possibly why your Directors agree, fair enough maybe hard to swallow but thats what i think is most likely.
