As for the HX one day being an EV?
Likely to happen but only be for the diesel engine to become an electric motor, and have some on board batteries for that.
The laying robotics/boom and related mechanics etc might become electrically powered, but rather than the HX having batteries to power the laying robotics, it would be more logical in my view to plug the HX into the onsite builders pole instead of from batteries.
