There are many forms of energy - light, heat, radiation, mass, potential, kinetic, electrostatic, atomic etc. Human ingenuity has developed technology enabling the collection and conversion into electricity which for a price others can access. The cost of the collection conversion technology requires that you pay either as a customer or you pay as a generator in the form of equipment, installation costs, transmission costs along with energy costs to extract the minerals, convert the minerals to metals, plastics, glass, gasses, liquids which are then assembled by humans or machines using energy which then get transported to retailers the world over using energy.
