I think its fantastic that our nation can now stand up and offer some formal statement/apology on this matter, even though I personally feel that at the time we were trying to assist young aborigines who were neglected.
Ok, so moving forward lets hope this isn't a money grab. If Rudd and his team offer some enhanced co-operative schemes to bring our two cultures closer then I'm all for it.
If any of the usual suspects want to hang on to their bitterness and hatred but spitting on the hand of reconciliation then so be it.
